Spark Productions was launched with an eye on promoting local talents. Given the varied tastes in music and current popularity of house music and remixes, Spark has identified the existence of a niche market in music production.
The company will be scouting for home grown talents, groom and nurture them into successful artists. Spark will be launching a nationwide hunt for top notch DJs and a contest format and award recording contracts to the winners.
Terry Morris (Australian Country Singer)
Terry grew up in Asansol, a small railway town in West Bengal and did his schooling at St. Vincent’s. His first band was called “The Hailstones”; he went on to form many more and the last band before he left India for the U.K. was “The Rock Revivals”. The years from 1982 to 1986 saw him living in London and playing with many notable bands over there.
Over a music career spanning four decades, Terry Misra has written, composed and sung numerous country songs. An old box guitar, presented to him when he was 15 years old, was the leitmotif and guiding inspiration for his love of country music.
His journey in music took a positive turn when he left the U.K. and moved to Australia. He flirted with commercial success while forming the nexus of a burgeoning country music scene Down Under. He wrote some of the most achingly personal songs country music has ever seen. Over the years, Terry has grown into a solid touring attraction, drawing enthusiastic fans to all his shows.
His crisp, pared-down lyrics, which often intensely portray a woman or her love, are in the mode of vintage Jim Reeves, Marty Robbins and Merle Haggard. His lilting harmonies are a perfect homage to the form of American country music.
Terry’s recently-released “Heart Soul & Rock n Roll” country album is yet another feather in his cap – it will remain a worthy tradition of his long and fruitful association with country music. The album is currently receiving airplay on several radio stations around Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Adelaide.
In 1990, Terry and his son Leon were instrumental in the formation of the band “Face 2 Face”, which eventually became one of Sydney’s hot favorites.
Besides owning “Rusty Studios” where he records most of his albums, Terry now has a band called “The Jam Factory”, which is well-loved all over New South Wales.
Terry takes his music seriously and wants to be remembered as the driving force behind the propagation of country songs in the world.
